Microfluidic Scientist

We are looking for you, an exceptionally talented microfluidic scientist, to design and develop novel microfluidic systems for ground-breaking life-science and medical-diagnostic instruments.

The role will be in the Zurich area at the Company's Concept Development Lab comprising a small, multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers focussed around early-stage development of pipeline products.



  • Design and develop and reduce to practice new and innovative microfluidic chip designs
  • Ensure the Company’s products reliably deliver high accuracy and precision to end users
  • Actively contribute to the development of the Company’s long-term product pipeline
  • Interact with the entire team and outside world to achieve optimal performance of the Company’s technology platform


You’ve got this covered:

  • PhD in natural sciences with a strong focus on development of microfluidic systems, or a Masters Degree with at least 3 years suitable experience
  • Proven track record in microfluidic device design and implementation
  • Experience covering at least one of the following three areas;; 1) Previous experience in developing laboratory instruments, 2) In-depth expertise with protein separation technologies, in particular electrophoresis, 3) Experience in setting up fluorescence microscopes
  • A highly analytical approach with exceptional problem-solving skills and fact based communication
  • Ambition to strive for technical excellence
  • Independent efficient and precise approach to work with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a small, ambitious multidisciplinary team
  • Good time management, documentation and commercial skills
  • Willingness to uphold our core values; competence, integrity and communication


Nice to haves:

  • Detailed knowledge of Python
  • Hands-on experience in anti-adhesion coatings
