Software Test Engineer

We are seeking a passionate automation test engineer to develop in-house tools to improve our manufacturing test automation.


You will help us support the development and production of our microfluidics instruments. As an engineer at Fluidic Analytics you will be working in a pioneering research and development company who are at the forefront of innovation. As such, you will have the opportunity to be an agent for change, challenging the status quo, creating new test solutions and striving for continuous improvement. Responsibilities and duties will include:
  • Support development of production line efforts and improve existing manufacturing test systems by creating and deploying supporting infrastructure software
  • Build test solutions that are in-line with the organization’s goals for long-term assurance of supply and low cost of ownership
  • Maintain regulatory compliance according to Fluidic Analytics quality system
  • Work collaboratively with R&D, manufacturing and Software teams to effectively address the technical and logistical challenges in developing the company production line
  • Liaise between Manufacturing, Engineering and contract manufacturers on assembly development
  • Define test strategies, analyse new product testability and deliver test solutions to manufacturing partner

Requirements

You've got this covered:

Essential:

  • Excellent programming experience in Python
  • Experience writing software that interfaces with hardware e.g. pumps and Robotic devices
  • Software testing experience including writing automated test scripts
  • Experience of developing API’s to control bespoke electronic equipment
  • Experience in medical device of other regulated industries is preferred
  • Signal Processing techniques
  • Modular instrumentation platforms
  • Statistical Techniques
  • Data analytics

Desirable:
