Inside Fluidic Analytics
Our CEO, Andrew explains what it takes to be part of the Fluidic Analytics team
Hi I am Andrew, I am the CEO of Fluidic Analytics.
We’ve got a once in a life time opportunity. We have the chance to improve the way diseases are diagnosed and treated. We have the opportunity to improve how clinicians and researchers, understand the biology of disease and health, in real time. We have the chance to make a real difference to healthcare.
How would you describe the company culture at Fluidic Analytics?
One of the great things about working at Fluidic there is employees from a range of backgrounds you won’t find at most biotech company’s. So at Fluidic Analytics we’ve got a saying, we say “Argue like you’re right, listen like you’re wrong”. This is great example of how we push people to really draw on their own expertise, to bring new ideas to the table, to be more than the sum of the parts. This is the key to what we have been able to accomplish, in five short years.
What advice do you give employees on their first day?
The best advice I can give to a new starter, is don’t leave anything on the table. You can expect to work hard at Fluidic, we also expect you to work smart. So bring your own unique perspectives, bring different ways of doing things, to help us get things well and to get them done on time. We’ve got a rare opportunity to make a difference to healthcare. So leave room of learning, but none for regret.
What traits do you look for in those who are seeking to work for Fluidic Analytics?
At Fluidic we are building a team that isn’t afraid to seek the right solution for clinicians and researchers. Who sees problems through their eyes, who won’t stop until we have delivered on what we set out to accomplish.
What are you most proud of regarding the success of Fluidic Analytics?
We’ve accomplished a lot in the last five years, but what I am proudest of is that we have built a team that is still hungry. Still hungry to deliver the next product; still hungry to understand the next problem; still hungry to deliver the right solution.
Do you have any more advice you would like to impart?
When you get here, remember, don’t be afraid to ask questions, don’t be afraid to ask for help, but do bring your ideas to the table. We are trying to accomplish something that has never been done before. We cant do it without you.
