Saddest TV Show

Well, I just got home from dinner, and I started watching some TV.  While flipping through the HD channels, I ran across this show called Intervention. It's a show about drug addiction, and the people that effects. Hard to believe that people do this to themselves.  The episode I am watching is about a nursing student that is addicted to crack and a former marine that is addicted to heroin.  Even with everything that has happened in my wife, I rejoice that I have never done drugs.

Its like a train wreck.  I'm watching another episode about a 21 year old woman that has bulimia. I never knew that bulimia was an over-eating disease. I thought it was a weight-controlling purging act.  I didn't know that it involves binge eating then immediately throwing up.  Once they are finished, they start all over again.  Also, I didn't realize the amount of money someone would spend to keep this habit going.

Like the title says, it is a really sad show to see people struggling with these diseases. I thought I had major life changing points in my life. But they are nothing what some people that have addiction go through.

I'm sorry that this post is so serious.  The show really put everything into perspective.
