Well I have been absent for a while. My father suffered a stroke, and at the age of 63, his condition scares me. I didn't think that a person that young could be associated with the a stroke.
Even as terrible as this event, I was shocked at the lack of compassion in our health care system. My father was admitted to his home town hospital. His town's hospital is very small, but the doctors and nursing staff just didn't seem to care about him. Actually the one of the doctors told me that he doesn't work weekends, and that we were luckly he came into the hospital. So what does he do, discharges my father.
So we have moved my father to a larger city hospital, which is much better. At least the healthcare staff is more professional. So if you are in a small town in Florida, do get sick on the weekends. If you do, please goto a larger town.
